Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream

Dermalogica makes a pretty good line of skin products and most users have good reports for any of the skin products in their line.  The Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream is a bit different in this respect.  While most of the reviews out there claim it is a good product, it is not great.  There are some users who have complained about the odor of the product, similar to Vick’s vapor rub, that has turned them off and others have said that while Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream does moisturize and renew the skin, it isn’t really appropriate for the target market, those with extra dry skin or skin that has aged prematurely.

This is a medium weight skin cream and it is made without any artificial fragrances or colors, perhaps this is why some people report the strange odor.  It claims to rehydrate and restore the balance of moisture in your skin while also improving the look and texture of the skin.  The ingredients used to provide the skin benefits are as follows:

  • Mallow, cucumber and arnica hydrate the skin and help reverse drying damage
  • Vitamins A, C and E provide protection from the elements and environmental factors
  • Aloe gel and lecithin moisturize the skin deeply

While Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream may work well to moisturize and repair some damage caused by age and environment, it doesn’t provide huge benefits to those with extremely dry skin.  And the price tag is a bit high, although if you are looking for a skin moisturizer it isn’t a bad choice, just wait until it is on sale.  Overall it seems to work well for many so I wouldn’t write it off, you will need to give it a try and see what it’s effects are for your skin.
